Appointments

I.M. Pediatrics, PC takes pride in offering a range of providers and appointment times to accommodate your schedule. Please call our office to schedule any appointments and our front desk staff will accommodate your desired time to the best of their ability. If you are running late or need to reschedule, please contact our office as soon as possible.

Insurance and Billing

Payment Options/Co-Payments

We accept cash and credit cards only. We do not accept checks. We are contractually obliged to collect co-payments at the time of your visit. If you don't pay your co-payment at the time of service, we will need to add a fee of $10 for the cost of billing you. Please have your co-payment ready at check-in.

Missed Appointments

We understand that sometimes you can’t make your appointment. Please call us at least 24 hours in advance to cancel or change an appointment. If you don’t call to cancel in advance, we reserve the right to charge a $25 No-Show Fee to cover the cost of the unfilled appointment slot.

Sick Visits

If your child gets sick and needs to be seen in our office, please call for an appointment as soon as possible - we schedule same-day sick visits every day. To serve you better, we do not take walk-in appointments.

If you're uncertain about your child's health or symptoms, feel free to call our office and speak with one of our staff. They can help you decide if what ails your child is something you can easily manage at home, or if you'd be better off with an appointment and an examination from Dr. Mienko.

Our staff members will ask questions about your child's symptoms, the duration of the symptoms, health issues your child might have, and any medications (including over-the-counter meds) your child is taking. Being prepared to answer those questions will help the call go as quickly and as smoothly as possible.

If you need an appointment, we'll schedule one that will best suit both the health of your child and the availability of your schedule .

Well-child visits/Physicals/Vaccinations

We accept your requests for these non-urgent visits trough our patient portal.  We will confirm your appointment via an e-mail or phone call, whatever you prefer.

We do more than just help your children when they're sick; we help them, and your whole family stay well. The most important (and most enjoyable) way we do this is to see you for a series of Well Child Visits. We'll monitor your child's growth and development, answer any questions or concerns you may have, and provide a series of important vaccinations that help prevent serious illnesses and even save lives.  Please call our office to schedule an appointment and our front desk staff will accommodate your desired time to the best of their ability. If you are running late or need to reschedule, please contact our office as soon as possible.

Facilities and Equipment

Our Medical Practice is equipped with sophisticated Electronic Health Records (EHR) software. EHR are computer systems that medical practices use instead of paper charts that make charting faster and more accurate. EHR are not only used to provide medical care, but also manage all areas of a medical practice’s daily operations.

• We send patients reminders about physicals and vaccinations via electronic messenger to patient's phone number
• Most of laboratory and radiology results are in our computer system within 1-2 business days
• We e-prescribe all medications to the pharmacy of your choice so you no longer carry a paper prescription and don't have to wait in line
• Our system automatically checks for problems whenever a new medication is prescribed and alerts the doctor to potential conflicts.

By using EHR we can help parents gain better insight into their child's overall health and give us a better opportunity to connect with our patients.
